More than 2000 people visited EXPOSURES

London, September 28.-

The Official Residence of the Argentine Ambassador once again participated in the Open House London with an exhibition called "EXPOSURES". During the week around 2100 people visited the exhibition and it was published in local media as well as in the edition of La Nación on September 24.

The Embassy has worked together with MERIDIANO, the Chamber of Art Galleries of Argentina, to curate a video art exhibition that could be visited until September 27, serving as a prelude to FRIEZE, the most important contemporary and modern art fair in the city. The exhibition was curated by Alessio Antoniolli and Melina Berkenwald, from the Gasworks London and URRA Argentina art residences and was supported by the British Council.

Exposures is an exhibition of video and sound art that offers a rich and diverse image of the contemporary production of Argentine artists. The exhibition brings together a selection of works presented by the galleries associated with Meridiano, and additional works by the five artists who participated in the Gasworks / URRA residences, an exchange program for artists from the United Kingdom and Argentina initiated in 2015 and developed in partnership with the arteBA Foundation.

Instead of proposing a comprehensive concept that spans all the works, Exposures borrows the Open House approach, curating a group of works that show the breadth of techniques, concerns and strategies adopted by a multigenerational group of artists working in Argentina today. The result is an eclectic selection of twenty-nine works that are freely grouped in the different rooms of the house, trying to coexist with the interior decoration of this magnificent and opulent building. In rooms that include the Ambassador's desk, the formal dining room and the large ballroom, the works are displayed on diverse screens and wall projections, alternating moments of reflection and intimacy with other larger and more complex themes.

The artists and Galleries represented in the exhibition include: Ad Minoliti (Gasworks URRA, Mite), Alan Segal (Pasto), Alejandro Montaldo (Quadro), Alfredo Dufour (Constitution), Amalia Ullman (Barro), Cecilia Lenardón (Gabelich) , Damián Linossi (The Great Glass), David López Mastrángelo (Cecilia Caballero), Elda Cerrato (Herlitzka Farías), Elena Dahn (María Casado), Estanislao Florido (Del Infinito), Eugenia Calvo (Diego Obligado), Guido Yannitto (Gachi Prieto ), Jessica Sarah Rinland (Rolf), Joaquín Aras (Gasworks URRA), Jorge Haro (Hall 4), Juan Sorrentino (Acéfala), Leticia El Obeid (Hache), Liv Schulman (Stones), Marcelo Galindo (Nora Fisch), Mauro Guzmán (Herlitzka Farías), Nicolás Gullotta (Gasworks URRA), Nicolás Martella (Floating Island), Osías Yanov (Gasworks URRA, Nora Fisch), Pablo Accinelli (Gasworks URRA, Floating Island), Paola Sferco (Thread), Ramiro Quesada Pons ( Miranda Bosch), Sofia Torres Kosiba (Black Forest), Tomás Maglione (Ruth Benzacar).
