EL ÁRBOL NEGRO at the Embassy in London

London, 14th June 2019.- With the collaboration with Surubí Films, the Embassy of Argentina showed the documentary "EL ARBOL NEGRO" in front of an audience of 50 spectators and with the participation of its directors Máximo Ciambella and Damián Coluccio.EL ARBOL NEGRO is a documentary shot in the Toba / Qom community of Santo Domingo, in the north of Argentina. The documentary won the Argentine Competition of the Mar del Plata International Film Festival 2018 as well as the Greenpeace and FIPRESCI awards and three prizes at the GRABA Festival in Mendoza.

The international premiere was at the official competition of Sheffield Doc / Fest on June 8, and it had a second showing on June 12, with a good response from the critics and the audience. Soon you will be able to see it in other festivals in Argentina such as the Santiago del Estero Film Festival and the Human Rights festival in Buenos Aires.

After the film, the directors participated in an entertaining debate with the public about technical aspects of the film and about their experience with the Qom community.
