London, April 25, 2019.-

Last week we celebrated Malbec World Day among importers, distributors and specialised media in London. Over 20 wineries selected 80 bottles of Argentine Malbec- including old, new, high, low, south, north, east and west- to reflect all the identities of our grape in the tasting. 

Under the motto "Elegance doesn't need perfection", the wine tasting organised together with the European Ambassador of Wines of Argentina (WOFA) Phil Crozier was an invitation to travel to Argentina through our star variety: "The beautiful south", "Mendoza remixed", "First Zone", "The Birth of cool climate", "Balcony to the stars", "Pushing the limits" & "In search of purity".

In recent years, the United Kingdom has become a key consumer of our wine exports. In 2018 it replaced Canada as our second global market with 13% of the total (U$D 106 million/ 355,406 hectoliters). Almost 90% of these sales correspond to the Malbec variety.
