The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship deeply regrets what the family of footballer Emiliano Sala have been going through since Monday, when contact was lost with the plane in which the player was travelling as it crossed over the English Channel en route from Nantes to Cardiff.

Through the Directorate General of Consular Affairs, the Argentine Foreign Ministry has been maintaining contact with Emiliano Sala´s siblings, Darío and Romina Sala, who are being assisted and kept up to date with news from the search mission by the Argentine Embassies in London and Paris.

The Argentine Foreign Ministry and Embassies to the United Kingdom and France thanked the British and French authorities for their efforts in supporting the search and asked that they persist until the plane and its crew are located.
