The Embassy informs that applications for the 2020 edition of the "Emilio F. Mignone" International Human Rights Award are open and will be received until 31st October 2020.
The Award was established in 2007 with the purpose of recognising the work of foreign institutions and/or individuals residing abroad in the promotion and protection of Human Rights. It is inspired by the figure and work of Emilio F. Mignone, who was one of the main human rights defenders in our country and a founding member of the Centre for Legal and Social Studies (CELS). The Prize aims to contribute to give visibility to the areas of work of the organisation or person who is awarded with it, to strengthen ties with organisations of the civil society in Argentina, and to recognize their commitment to the promotion and defence of human rights in their country of origin.
