Argentine swimmers Cristina Ganem and Marcelo Nazra made a successful crossing of the English Channel, last 24th and 25th of June.  

We received swimmer Cristina Ganem, who made a successful crossing of the English Channel After her 15 hour swim, which made her the first woman from the province of Neuquén to accomplish the task, she visited us at the Embassy to tell us about her story and purpose. Cristina is an architect but has been swimming for many years for just causes through charity work.

Previously this year, she swam between the Malvinas islands of Gran Soledad and Gran Malvina. This time, she is raising funds to build an accessible swimming pool in her province, destined primarily for those with disabilities and for rehabilitation.
