London, 7 November. Between 4 and 6 November the 38th edition of the "World Travel Market" was held at the ExCel Exhibition Centre in London.
The fair, the largest such tourism industry event for the English market, involved around 5 thousand exhibitors from 182 countries and regions and over 50 thousand participants.
Argentina hosted a stand designed by the National Institute for the Promotion of Tourism (INPROTUR) where 36 tour operators held meetings with stakeholders.
The stand featured a bar where talks were given, wine tastings were held and Argentine gastronomy was on offer.
Some notable figures participating in the event included the Chairman of the Argentine Chamber of Tourism, Aldo Elías, the Director of Markets and Market Coordinator of INPROTUR, and authorities from the ministries and tourism bodies of various provinces and towns: Buenos Aires City, Jujuy, Formosa, Salta, Mendoza, Iguazú and El Calafate.
Authorities from Argentina’s Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce were also in attendance, as was a representative of Aerolíneas Argentinas for the UK.
