This 18 July will mark 26 years since the attack on the AMIA building, which claimed the lives of 85 Argentines, whose memory we honour every year, as well as leaving a tremendous scar on the lives of so many victims, survivors and relatives.
The international community cannot live with terrorism in its midst because it disrupts the harmony of democratic life and claims innocent victims.
The fact that justice has yet to be served remains a great source of sorrow for Argentina. We cannot live in peace while the victims are still calling for the perpetrators to take responsibility for their actions.
As a country staunchly committed to the promotion and protection of human rights, on this anniversary we would like to reaffirm our unfailing commitment to seeking truth and justice in order to honour the memory of the victims, and establish mechanisms to prevent and redress human rights violations.
